  1. Make sure you have the latest update for your CoPilot app installed (check your App Store app for app updates)

  2. Single region apps (eg UK & Ireland) will get the map update automatically

  3. CoPilot GPS, North America, Europe and Western Europe apps: you'll need to download the latest maps via WiFi (see below for details)

Android & Windows Phone 8

  1. Make sure you have the latest update for your CoPilot app installed.

  2. Download the maps via WiFi (see below for details)

Download the maps via WiFi

  1. Select MyCoPilot in the app

  2. Select My Maps

  3. Select your map region (e.g. Europe)

  4. Tap Continue on the pop-up dialog box to begin the download

  5. Once you have completed downloading the maps, they are stored on your device as usual, so you can still use CoPilot without mobile or Internet connection and roaming charges when travelling abroad.

I had Co pilot years ago but had to wipe it because my phone was faulty. I regularly receive emails prompting me to update my UK and Ireland maps. I no longer have the app on my phone but the old maps are in a Co pilot folder on my micro sd card. How do I re install the Co pilot app without paying a second time? I've also lost log in details and my password.

I'm currently using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I've just upgraded the maps like stated above. It's just crashed my co-pilot and says to install again when they've been downloaded and installed already. I've tried to restart but does not want to correct itself. I'm not uninstalling it and going to install it again to see if that corrects the problem.

It seems to work after the re-install, but you may want to look into why it may do that.

I've been having exactly the same issue with my iPhone 5. I went to install the updated maps and it stopped at 99% and no matter how long I leave it, it won't complete the update. I have uninstalled the app (and lost all my favourites) and done a clean install with exactly the same result. I need to use Copilot nearly every day however this failed update means that I have no maps and therefore no satnav. What are you doing about this issue?
